Resumes

Resumes are a critical piece of your application - it's one of the first things that an employer will look at. A resume is a tailored overview of your qualifications, education, and former experience. Here are some tips on how to write a resume that will get you an interview.
Limit the length. Resumes are usually one page -two pages at most. There’s not much space so it’s crucial that you include only relevant information. Adding "fluff" may make the employer gloss over your resume and miss important points.
Include these items on your resume.
-
Name and contact information
-
Objective statement
-
Level of education
-
Summary of qualifications
-
Volunteer work
-
Personal interests
-
Certifications
-

Write a resume objective. An objective is only 2-3 sentences about you as a professional and why you want to work for the employer.
List your previous employment. For each job, state your job title
and give a brief description of the duties you performed. If you are a student with little to no job experience, list any relevant activities, classes, or volunteer work that you have.
